| dc.description.abstract | As aldeias “perdidas” no território da Serra da Estrela distinguem-se pelo potencial a nível dos seus recursos endógenos, pela qualidade das paisagens, pelo caracter das suas populações e pela especificidade do seu perfil territorial, o que lhes confere uma grande singularidade no contexto nacional e regional e que é testemunho da forma como o Homem ao longo dos tempos interagiu com a envolvente, adequando-a às necessidades do dia-a-dia. Pela sua morfologia e interiorização no país, as aldeias “serranas” viveram profundas alterações nas últimas décadas, tendo-se assistido a uma descaracterização, esquecimento, abandono das suas atividades tradicionais e á destruição do seu património rural, por vezes com resultados trágicos e irreparáveis. A criação da Rede das Aldeias de Montanha, vem propor que se olhe para estas aldeias, como unidades paisagísticas e arquitetónicas e não apenas como aglomerados “urbanos”. Surge aqui a oportunidade para se promover dinâmicas locais que possam de alguma forma tentar recuperar o que é nosso, o que é “tradicionalmente português”. Intervir nestes espaços é assumido como urgente e como uma operação de dinamização destes territórios. Cada Aldeia de Montanha é caracterizada por uma particular traça urbanística, arquitetónica e paisagística, que importa salvaguardar e valorizar, pois testemunha uma herança que pode ser potenciada turisticamente. Neste contexto está incluída a Aldeia de Cortes do Meio no Concelho da Covilhã, com uma localização privilegiada e com grande potencial de desenvolvimento turístico, onde, face ao seu estado atual, deve ser prioridade definir regras para proteger, preservar, recuperar e promover os valores identitários deste património nas suas múltiplas vertentes. A intenção desta dissertação passa por desenvolver um Guia de Boas Práticas de Revitalização da Aldeia de Cortes do Meio, com o intuito de superar os efeitos negativos de degradação e desertificação, contribuindo para a reafirmação deste território, para o reforço da autoestima e fixação da população, preservando e valorizando a sua autenticidade e promovendo a aldeia como lugar de visita. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | The "lost" villages in Serra da Estrela territory are distinguished by the potential of their endogenous resources, the quality of the landscapes, the character of their populations and the specificity of their territorial profile, which gives them a great singularity in the national and regional context and which is a testimony to the way in which Man has interacted with the surrounding environment, adapting to it the needs of the day-to-day life. Due to their morphology and their position in the interiorof the country, the "serranas" villages have undergone profound changes in the last decades, having seen a decharacterization, forgetfulness, abandonment of their traditional activities and the destruction of their rural heritage, sometimes with tragic and irreparable results. The creation of the Mountain Villages Network, proposes to look at these villages as landscape and architectural units, and not just as "urban" spaces. This is an opportunity to promote local dynamics that can somehow try to recover what is ours, which is “traditionally portuguese". Intervening in these spaces is assumed as an urgent and as an operation to energize these territories. Each Mountain Village is characterized by a particular urban, architectural and landscape design, which it is important to safeguard and value, as it bears witness to an inheritance that can be boosted by tourists. In this context the Aldeia de Cortes do Meio in the municipality of Covilhã is included, with a privileged location and with great tourism development potential, where, given its current state, it should be a priority to define rules to protect, preserve, recover and promote values identities of this heritage in its multiple aspects. The intention of this dissertation is to develop a Guide to Good Practices of Revitalization of the Village of Cortes do Meio, with the aim of overcoming the negative effects of degradation and desertification, contributing to the reaffirmation of this territory, for the reinforcement of self-esteem and population fixation, preserving and valuing its authenticity and promoting the village as a place of visit. | eng |
