dc.description.abstract	Com o passar dos anos, tem havido sem duvida um crescimento de turistas não só em Portugal como na localidade de Fátima. A região de Fátima é sem duvida o destino mais significativo de turismo religioso português. Só no ano de 2016, estima-se que recebeu mais de 5.3 milhões de turistas e que em 2017 foram cerca de 8 milhões de visitantes devido à visita papal. A capacidade hoteleira da região de Fátima ao longo dos tempos tem sentido alguma dificuldade de acompanhar esta evolução de turismo religioso. O turista-religioso não tem como principal finalidade a viagem genuína motivada pela fé, tem outros horizontes de ordem cultural, balnear, etc. Fátima oferece mais que o turismo da região, que é principalmente o turismo religioso. Muitos dos peregrinos que vão a Fátima, tornam-se turistas. Neste contexto, a presente proposta tem como objetivo a elaboração de um espaço multifuncional que possa apoiar os peregrinos e que interesse aos turistas. O local escolhido para esta intervenção foi a área dos Moinhos da Fazarga, na Moita Redonda da Freguesia de Fátima. Pretende-se renovar os dois moinhos mais degradados atribuindo uma nova funcionalidade. Pretende-se projetar um edifício multifuncional cuja principal função seja albergar os peregrinos vindos a pé de todo o mundo nos dias maiores de peregrinações. Contudo pretende-se que o mesmo edifício possa ter outra equivalência para diversas atividades e eventos a realizar na Freguesia. Paralelamente pretende-se projetar um percurso pedonal ao longo da encosta dos Moinhos da Fazarga. Por fim pretende-se ainda projetar um conjunto de bungalows (pequenas casas de férias) de modo a complementar a área rural, potenciando o turismo. Todos estes equipamentos pretendem tornar o local mais ativo, dinâmico e funcional promovendo o turismo regional e auxiliar os peregrinos para melhores condições e segurança.	por
dc.description.abstract	Over the years, tourism has been growing not only in Portugal, in general, but also in Fátima, in particular, which definitely positions itself as the most important destination in terms of Portuguese religious tourism. It is estimated that Fátima welcomed more than 5.3 million tourists in 2016 alone, and around 8 million visitors in 2017 as a result of the Papal visit. However, the hotels in the region and their occupancy capacity have found it difficult in keeping up with such large turnouts of religious tourists. In addition to conducting faith motivated journeys, the religious tourists have other purposes in mind, such as cultural, bathing and others. Frankly speaking, Fátima offers more aspects of interests besides religion. In fact, many pilgrims who go to Fátima become tourists. In this context, this proposal aims mainly at drawing an architectural project for a multifunctional space, one that will not only provide support to the pilgrims but may also be of interest to the tourists. The windmills of Fazarga (Moinhos da Fazarga) are the places chosen for this intervention. The windmills are located at Moita Redonda, in the parish of Fátima. With regard to this multifunctional space, its main function will be to harbor walking pilgrims from all over the world during the most important days of pilgrimage. In addition, the buildings may also be used to host several activities and events to be conducted in the parish. Simultaneously, a proposal will be made for the renewal and conversion of two windmills at the site, conveying a new functionality to each of them: a tourist information centre for the southerly windmill and a small souvenir shop for the one located further north. A walking trail will also be developed along the hillside of Moinhos da Fazarga. Finally, this proposal will consider a set of bungalows (small holiday houses) so as to optimize the rural feature of this area. The intent of all these facilities is to make this place more appealing, dynamic and functional. This will promote regional tourism and help develop the pilgrimage component of the same. This in turn will provide the pilgrims with better conditions and safety.	eng
