Abstract(s)
A presente dissertação dedica-se à identificação e resolução dos diversos problemas que
afetam uma parcela de terreno na Cidade de Mirandela. O objetivo é desenhar um
projeto, que integre este vazio urbano na malha da cidade.
Embora central, este lugar continua sem ser edificado, devido às várias dificuldades
causadas pela ferrovia, causando um vasto descontínuo. Após análise e desenho,
concluímos que é possível ocupá-lo, através de algumas estruturas que facilitem a
integração da linha do Tua no contexto urbano.
Finalizamos este projeto com a exploração das potencialidades do edifício da estação de
caminhos de ferro, que propomos reabilitar como Estação Intermodal de Mirandela,
completando assim este projeto urbano com a requalificação do serviço de transportes
da cidade.

The main goal is to design a project that integrates this urban void into the city’s fabric. This site, has a central location in the city, and yet it remains unoccupied, due to the various difficulties caused by the railway which leads to a vast discontinuity. After analysis and design, we concluded that it is possible to do a good occupation of this place with the use of structures that facilitate the integration of the Tua railway in the urban context. We conclude this project with the exploration of the potential of the railway station building, which we propose to rehabilitate as Mirandela Intermodal Station, thus completing this urban project with the requalification of the city’s transport service.
