Abstract(s)
fatores económicos, políticos, culturais e sociais a afetam. O processo criativo, tanto do
as distancia.
Fashion is a manifestation of art and human communication. As in art, economic, political, cultural and social factors affect it. The creative process, both of the designer and the artist, is influenced by these and other elements that make the work a reflection of the creator's state of mind, beliefs and motivations. However, clothing, as a means of differentiating social classes and statutes, is seen as something frivolous. Its aesthetic values, as well as its ephemerality, give it a futile connotation. Also, the useful and functional aspect of clothing takes fashion away from being considered an art. In fact, fashion and art, as open concepts, suggest different interpretations. For this reason, its historical and social contextualization is necessary. This dissertation aims to analyze the terms, relating them as an artistic product and a communicative medium. The proximity of the areas will also be deepened, as well as the distance between them.
