Este relatório descreve o trabalho desenvolvido no último ano, no âmbito da unidade curricular de Projeto Final do Mestrado em Cinema da Universidade da Beira Interior, como
argumentista, produtora, realizadora e operadora de câmara na curta-metragem Um Quarto
de Mim.
Após a descrição do surgimento da ideia e do tema (transtorno dissociativo de identidade) e
de a intenção de o abordar cinematograficamente através de um plano sequência, é descrito
o processo de escrita do guião e da formação da equipa. De seguida, é exposto o processo de
procura de uma casa para as filmagens, bem como o desenvolvimento do plano de exequibilidade da produção do filme.
É também relatada a fase da produção, descrevendo os dias e momentos mais marcantes das
rodagens, abordando todos os tópicos relevantes, da direção de fotografia à direção de atores, passando pelas demais áreas. Relativamente à fase de pós-produção, esta também é descrita, dividindo-se entre pós-produção de imagem e de som. Também serão objeto de reflexão o poster e o making-of.
Um Quarto de Mim não foi imune à pandemia mundial Covid-19: as rodagens do projeto
ficaram em standby por tempo indeterminado, a equipa foi objeto de cuidados redobrados
e os apoios financeiros baixaram significativamente, pelo que este assunto é igualmente
abordado no presente relatório, surgindo como uma espécie de pano de fundo de todo o
trabalho desenvolvido, pelos desafios extraordinários que colocou e pela forma como as dificuldades foram superadas.
This report describes the work developed over the last year for the final project of the Master’s Cinema degree at the University of Beira Interior, as a screenwriter, producer, director and camera operator in the short film Um Quarto de Mim. After describing the emergence of the idea and theme (dissociative identity disorder) and an intention to approach it cinematographically through a sequence plan, the script writing process and the team formation will be described. Then, the process of finding a house for filming is exposed, as well as the development of the feasibility plan for the production of the film. The production phase is also reported, describing the most important days and moments of the shooting, addressing all relevant issues, from the direction of photography to the direction of actors, and approaching other areas of the project. The post-production phase will also be described, dividing itself between image and sound post-production. The poster and the making-of will also be object of reflection. Um Quarto de Mim was not immune to the world pandemic Covid-19: the shooting of the project stayed on standby indefinitely, the team was the object of redoubled care and the financial support was lost. All these struggles are also addressed in the present report, emerging as a kind of background for all the work developed, for the extraordinary challenges that emerged and for the way the difficulties were overcome.
