A presente dissertação debruça-se sobre a temática da igualdade de género, considerando a importância da presença da mulher na dinâmica política e na esfera pública. Partindo da ferramenta intelectual que legitima as sociedades democráticas liberais teorias contratualistas, o contrato soci após al , abordaremos a crítica feminista às uma incursão história sobre o movimento feminista. Fundamental para a promoção da igualdade de género é a adoção de políticas públicas que garantam uma presença mais efetiva das mulheres na política, pelo que nos debruçaremos sobre as mudanças legislativas que ocorreram em Portugal durante o século XX , dedicando especial Paridade já no século XXI.
Our dissertation focuses on the theme of gender equality, considering the importance of the presence of women in the political dynamics and in the public sphere. Starting from the intellectual tool that legitimizes liberal democratic societies contract the social theories, contract after, we will address the feminist critique of the social a historical incursion on the feminist movement. Fundamental to the promotion of gender equality is the adoption of public policies that ensure a more effective presence of women in politics, so we will look at the legislative changes that occurred in Portugal during the twentieth century, paying special attention to the approval of the sofirst century.
