Abstract(s)
completamente provada cientificamente. No entanto, alguns estudos científicos
Some information has been published by media, about dogs that can be able to detect and predict the onset of a seizure in humans and give them an overt signal to warn them. However, some scientific studies have suggested that some dogs may be able to develop special behaviours related to the seizures of their owners, bringing them healthy benefits like reducing seizure frequency. The purpose of this work is to gather data on this dogs, trying to understand if there is evidence for their ability to detect epileptic seizures, how they do it, how they communicate that to their owners, other benefits and also drawbacks. Data was collected from the college library and from the internet and review of literature was performed.
