Abstract(s)
O conceito "património cultural", nos últimos anos, passou a ser valorizado mundialmente fazendo com que adquirisse uma importância significativa. O Património passou de um discurso patrimonial onde se referia aos grandes monumentos artísticos do passado, interpretados como fatos importantes de uma civilização, avançando para uma conceção de património entendido como o conjunto dos bens culturais, referente às identidades coletivas. Desta maneira, múltiplas paisagens, arquiteturas, tradições, gastronomias, expressões de arte, documentos e sítios arqueológicos passaram a ser reconhecidos e valorizados pelas comunidades e organismos governamentais na esfera local, estadual, nacional ou internacional.
As alterações no entendimento deste conceito incitam-nos a refletir acerca dos caminhos trilhados nesse processo, de forma a estabelecer relações entre as transformações a respeito do que se entende por cultura e as modificações na categoria do património.
Num mundo globalizado como o atual, o património desempenha um papel cada vez mais importante na vida de uma comunidade, uma vez que o passado e as suas características identitárias são o que mais faz distinguir as comunidades entre si.
Será a partir da sua preservação e aproveitamento que se poderá construir e desenvolver uma comunidade com a natural emergência de um sentimento de vínculo, só possibilitado pela existência e preservação coletiva de um determinado património.
Assim, esta dissertação visa a identificação dos recursos patrimoniais com interesse turístico, a promoção da sua preservação e a ilação de que o valor patrimonial pode ser utilizado como estratégia de desenvolvimento local. Destacando-se o interesse patrimonial das Quintas de Recreio e Solares de Portugal, identificados como um dos maiores pilares para o conhecimento histórico, cultural e paisagístico do nosso país.
Ao longo deste trabalho, são analisados os conceitos fundamentais utilizados para a compreensão do espaço em investigação: património, desenvolvimento local, turismo e reabilitação.
Por fim, com o objetivo da compreensão do ato de projetar em perfeita sintonia com o Lugar, físico e cultural, da Quintas dos Buxeiros, localizada em Viseu, é apresentada uma proposta de reabilitação, afirmando este espaço como produto turístico da região.
The concept of "cultural heritage" in recent years has come to be valued worldwide and has made it significant. The Heritage passed from a patrimonial discourse where referees the great artistic monuments of the past, interpreted as important facts of a civilization, advancing towards a conception of heritage understood as the set of cultural goods, referring to collective identities. In this way, multiple landscapes, architectures, traditions, gastronomy, expressions of art, documents and archaeological sites are now recognized and valued by communities and governmental organizations in the local, state, national or international sphere. The changes in the understanding of the concept incite us to reflect on the paths taken in this process, to establish relations between the transformations regarding what is meant by culture and the changes in the category of heritage. In a globalized world such as the present, heritage plays an increasingly important role in the life of a community, since the past and its identity characteristics are the most distinguishable between communities. It will be from its preservation and use that it will be possible to build and develop a community with the natural emergence of a feeling of bond, only made possible by the existence and collective preservation of a certain heritage. Thus, this dissertation aims at the identification of patrimonial resources with tourist interest, the promotion of its preservation and the illation that the patrimonial value can be used as a local development strategy. Particularly noteworthy is the heritage interest of Quintas de Recreio and Solares de Portugal, identified as one of the major pillars for the historical, cultural and landscape knowledge of our country. Throughout this work, the fundamental concepts used to understand the research space are analyzed: heritage, local development, tourism and rehabilitation. Finally, with the objective of understanding the project of designing in perfect harmony with the physical and cultural place of Quintas dos Buxeiros, located in Viseu, a proposal of rehabilitation is presented, affirming this space as a tourist product of the region.
