Casa do Álamo

Abstract

Este trabalho propõe a reabilitação de um espaço histórico e a ampliação do mesmo. Pretende-se conjugar a arquitetura presente no local, uma arquitetura tipicamente alentejana, com uma arquitetura mais recente, tornando assim o espaço mais apelativo e com mais funcionalidade, sem corromper a história e o património existente. Num espaço de aproximadamente 2000 metros quadrados em Alter do Chão, no Alto Alentejo de Portugal, existe o edifício em questão num estado degradado, parte dele em ruína, com cerca de 600 metros quadrados de implantação e um extenso prado que ocupa o restante espaço. Irá proceder-se à reabilitação do edifício existente, alterando totalmente a sua antiga funcionalidade, mas nunca a sua traça original. A ideia passa por abrir o espaço ao publico, fazer com que o espaço sirva a sua terra, assim propõe-se a transformação num criativo espaço, de alojamento permanente e/ou turístico, uma zona de refeições, com uma pequena cozinha, bar, cafetaria e ainda zonas de lazer, com piscina. O presente projeto pretende demonstrar, o que o Alentejo tem de melhor para dar, a união do património com o turismo, provar que o interior de Portugal e particularmente o Alentejo não é apenas e só uma área do nosso país. Mostrar ainda que é possível conjugar diferentes tipos de arquitetura e de materiais e assim valorizar a urbanização.

This work proposes the rehabilitation of a historic space and the expansion of it. It is intended to combine the architecture present on the site, a typical Alentejo architecture, with a more recent architecture, thus making the space more appealing and with more functionality, without corrupting the existing history and heritage. In an area of approximately 2000 square meters in Alter do Chão, in the Alto Alentejo of Portugal, there is the building in question in a degraded state, part of it in ruin, with about 600 square meters of implantation and an extensive meadow that occupies the remaining space. The existing building will be rehabilitated, completely changing its old functionality, but never its original design. The idea is to open up the space to the public, make the space serve their land, thus proposing the transformation into a creative space, of permanent and / or tourist accommodation, a dining area, with a small kitchen, bar, cafeteria and leisure areas, with swimming pool. This project aims to demonstrate, what the best of Alentejo has to offer, the union of heritage with tourism, to prove that the interior of Portugal and particularly the Alentejo is not just and only an area of our country. Also show that it is possible to combine different types of architecture and materials and thus enhance urbanization.
