dc.description.abstract	Assiste-se constantemente a uma mudança da cidade, esta mudança reflecte o evoluir da sociedade, é uma metamorfose lenta que vai despontando nas cidades de Portugal e do mundo. Tal como muitas das cidades de Portugal, a cidade de Guimarães apresenta algumas lacunas a nível de desenho urbano para a actualidade e modernidade. Um ponto a ressaltar quando se pensa em (re)desenhar o urbano, é que devemos ter sempre presente a memoria e a historia do local e ter ainda em linha de atenção a forma urbana, a materialização da cidade. Torna-se assim necessário repensar e/ou reformular este espaço, e é precisamente com base nestes aspectos que surge a oportunidade desta dissertação é poder apresentar soluções para a qualificação da Praça do Toural e Alameda de S. Dâmaso. O objectivo desta dissertação consiste na elaboração de uma proposta de desenho urbano para o troço constituído pela Praça do Toural e pela Alameda de S. Dâmaso.	por
dc.description.abstract	There is a constant to a change in the city, this change reflects the evolution of society, is a slow metamorphosis that is emerging in the cities of Portugal and the world. Like many of the cities of Portugal, the city of Guimarães is lacking in terms of urban design for the current and modernity. A point to note when thinking about (re) design of the city is that we should always bear in mind the memory and history of the site and takes into attention to urban form, the materialization of the city. It is therefore necessary to rethink and / or revise this space, and it is precisely on these bases there is an opportunity for my project to present solutions to the classification of Toural Square and Alameda S. Dâmaso. The objective of this dissertation is the development of an urban design proposal for the section constituted by Toural Square and Alameda S. Dâmaso.
