A pesquisa aqui apresentada demonstra as formas como os festivais de cinema queer contribuem para a produção, exibição e debate em torno dos filmes do gĂȘnero. Nosso objeto de estudo para responder Ă pergunta de partida sĂŁo os festivais Queer Lisboa, que se realiza anualmente em Portugal, e a Mostra New Queer Cinema, no Brasil. Como tĂ©cnica de investigação utilizada, os festivais escolhidos foram analisados pela vertente do mĂ©todo hermenĂȘutico, tĂ©cnica que se configura como a metodologia da interpretação. Aplicamos este mĂ©todo para analisar e interpretar os relatĂłrios, catĂĄlogos, sites dos eventos e entrevistas semiestruturadas com os produtores. SĂŁo apresentados tambĂ©m alguns conceitos importantes para melhor compreensĂŁo do tema, como o conceito de Cinema Queer, heteronormatividade, sexo, gĂȘnero e sexualidade. A pesquisa foi dividida em trĂȘs capĂtulos: 1 - Teoria Queer â Breve Introdução, onde Ă© apresentado um sumĂĄrio histĂłrico da Teoria Queer; 2 â O Cinema e a Teoria Queer, para introduzir o conceito, analisĂĄ-lo e identificar as principais caracterĂsticas destes filmes; 3 â Brasil e Portugal na Rota dos Festivais de Cinema Queer, onde Ă© revelada a anĂĄlise dos dois festivais estudados.
The research presented here shows the ways in which queer film festivals contribute to the production, exhibition and debate on genre films. Our study object to answer the initial question are the Queer Lisbon festival, held annually in Portugal, and the Exhibition New Queer Cinema in Brazil. After electing the research technique, the chosen festivals were analyzed by the hermeneutic or interpretation method. We apply this method to analyze and interpret the reports, catalogs, events websites and semi-structured interviews with the producers. We also present some important concepts for a better understanding of the subject, such as Queer Cinema, heteronormativity, sex, gender and sexuality. The research was divided into three chapters: 1 - Queer Theory - Brief Introduction, where a historical overview of the Queer Theory is presented; 2 - Cinema and Queer Theory, to introduce the concept, analyze it and identify the main features of these films; 3 - Brazil and Portugal in the route of Queer Cinema Festivals, in which the analysis of the two researched festivals is revealed.
