Abstract(s)
Os programas Parlamentos Jovens (PJs) são espaços que promovem
maior aproximação do Poder Legislativo com os jovens e que buscam envolvê-los na participação político-cidadã, por meio do conhecimento prático do
funcionamento do parlamento. O presente estudo propõe uma avaliação da
experiência de jovens universitários no projeto Deputado Universitário Tocantinense (DUT) e busca ainda entender a contribuição da iniciativa em sua
formação política, cidadã e profissional. O percurso metodológico utilizado
para a realização da pesquisa foi o método quantitativo e qualitativo. A pesquisa é do tipo participante, exploratório e descritivo, e foi orientada sob a
forma de estudo de caso, com informações anteriores e posteriores à participação dos universitários. A amostra contou com 30 participantes. Foi utilizada
a metodologia de análise de conteúdo das respostas. Constatou-se que, por
meio da experiência na Assembleia Legislativa, o projeto proporcionou aos
estudantes a oportunidade de conhecer a atividade parlamentar, o que possibilitou a compreensão de seu funcionamento
Youth Parliament programs’ forums promote greater proximity of youth to the Legislative Power, as they seek their engagement in a citizen role in politics by empowering them with the knowledge of how a parliament effectively functions. This study proposes an assessment of the experience acquired by university students in the Deputado Universitário Tocantinense (DUT) project. The study aims at understanding how the project contributed to the student’s political, citizenship and professional formation. The methodology adopted to conduct the research included both quantitative and qualitative methods. This participatory, exploratory and descriptive research was based on case studies, analyzing information gathered prior to and after the students’ participation in the project from a sample of thirty participants. A content analysis approach was adopted to examine the answers. It was verified that, by means of the experience promoted in the State Legislative Assembly, the project provided the students with an opportunity to learn about and understand the parliament functioning. process. In this sense, through a brief review of the classic literature on the subject, are presented the issues at stake since the nineteenth century as well as new topics that emerged in this debate throughout the twentieth century. Finally, based in two presented studies in Executive context, it’s proposed a research agenda on the issue in the Legislature.
