O presente relatório descreve a experiência em torno do desenvolvimento e concretização de um projecto cinematográfico realizado como trabalho final de mestrado.
Divide-se em três partes nucleares, começando no trabalho de pré-produção, passando pela produção e rodagem, e terminando com a montagem e pós-produção. O filme trata da história do negócio do avô do realizador, que recolhe, armazena e vende azulejos de produção industrial Portuguesa descontinuados.
Tratando-se o projecto de um documentário, reflecte o relatório sobre o mesmo bem como sobre o cinema de uma forma mais geral, definindo-se ainda como nota de intenções e explicações do realizador.
This report describes the experience of developing and completing a cinema project, produced as a the final work of a master’s degree in cinema. It is divided into three fundamental parts, starting on the pre-production preparations, through to production and shooting and finally ending with the editing and post-production. The film dwells around the business of the filmmaker’s grandfather who gathers, stores and sells discontinued industrial Portuguese tiles. Being the film a documentary, the written report reflects on it as well as on cinema in a generalised way, defining itself also as the filmmaker’s notice of intent and explanation.
