Noémia Delgado is mentioned in the History of Portuguese cinema for directing the film Máscaras (1976). Almost all of her filmography was made for television. In this book chapter the focus is on the films that Noémia Delgado intended to make for cinema theaters and festivals but were never made. Based on documentation such as interviews, the text discusses her conception of cinema and her filmography, in particular the films that remained to be made and which are a cinematographic heritage for both Delgado's filmography and Portuguese cinema.
