Abstract(s)

The results of this research, constitutes in this way to one more another contribution to the understanding of the factors that influence the levels of parental stress and to a greater knowledge of this subject. From the results obtained, we highlight the non-verification of statistically significant differences, in function of the parental gender, regarding parental stress, emotional reactivity, co-parenting relationships, parental styles and sense of competence. This finding, however, due to the small size of the sample, cannot be generalized. There were also low levels of parental stress, high levels of co-parenting, high levels of parental competence, being the authoritative the parenting style scored by the majority.
