Abstract(s)
The fact that in our days there is a new journalism is evident and unquestionable. Nevertheless, the need of a new ethics as a correlate of this reality is not so obvious and unquestionable. While it is true that there are new variables, such as the predominance of some media groups, and new categories, such as webjournalism, whose ethical implications it is important to evaluate, professionals seem to consider that the deontological norms that already exist are sufficient to fit the journalistic practices. In fact, these norms reflect fundamental, transverse and timeless ethical principles, that could be collated under the principle of responsibility and which are directed to an imperative of the same order.
