No presente trabalho propus-me a fazer uma revisão sobre o Teorema de Pitágoras, a altura da descoberta da sua prova e o trabalho que se desenvolveu à sua volta desde a sua demonstração. E também apresentada uma análise da sua importância no Ensino da Matemática em Portugal.
In this paper, I set myself to make a review of the Pythagorean Theorem, the time of its discover and the work that has developed around it since its demonstration. It also gives an analysis of its importance in the Teaching of Math in Portugal.
