Este estudo tem como objetivo dar um contributo para a investigação na área do burnout e da perceção de suporte organizacional, mais especificamente na relação entre estes dois conceitos.
Esta investigação tem por base um design cross-sectional/transversal de natureza
correlacional. A amostra do estudo é composta por 121 docentes de três universidades diferentes. Os instrumentos de investigação utilizados foram o MBI-ES e a escala de Perceção de Suporte Organizacional de Eisenberger, Huntington, Hutchison e Sowa (1986).
Os resultados estatísticos permitiram verificar qual a relação entre os três componentes do burnout (exaustão emocional, despersonalização e realização pessoal) e a Perceção de Suporte
