Abstract(s)
a literatura é escassa.
Specific Learning Disorder with Reading Deficit affects between 5 and 15% of the world's population, being more prevalent in the male gender. The DSM-5 already advocates and reports the idea associated with the fact that this disturbance is not limited exclusively to the school context in childhood and adolescence but perpetuates throughout the subject's adult life (Blashfield, Keeley, Flanagan & Miles 2014). The studies presented statistically that individuals with this type of diagnosis can have a progressively positive and resilient life, however, may present some difficulties, psychopathological symptoms and specific limitations different from the results in normative individuals (Teles, 2004). In this study we evaluated potential differences in psychopathological symptoms and resilience between the group with DL-PAE (N = 23) and the normative group with (N = 27). Participants with the PAE-DL disorder scored significantly higher on the psychopathological symptoms, scored lower on the manifestation of resilience, and presented similar results in both positive and negative correlations over the number of years of study related to psychopathological symptoms and resilience. Throughout the development of the research, it is discussed potential reasons for these findings, taking into account that the literature is scarce.
