Abstract(s)
Obtendo ainda a participação, comprometimento e envolvimento
de toda comunidade, alcançando a responsabilidade social e satisfazendo as reais
necessidades da população em estudo.
Inclusion must be constantly present in our daily lives, that is, in personal, professional or social life. Therefore, being well prepared, sensitized and informed should be a goal for everyone, but for this to succeed beyond the goal we must have a method for its effective execution. However, when we refer to inclusion, it gains greater importance due to the direct impact on the most disadvantaged people, who have the right to equal rights and improved quality of life. This research aims to scrutinize the perceptions of parents and guardians and other stakeholders related to social inclusion and intellectual disability. Items such as discrimination, inequality, exclusion and social difference were analyzed, analyzing how they influence the process of promoting the inclusion of children and young people with intellectual disabilities and contribute to reducing social inequalities in Santa Catarina. In terms of methodology, in addition to the research and analysis of the literature, in the bibliographic databases of UBI, on disability and exclusion, as well as good practices in terms of public policies and instruments in the context of the social inclusion of people with disabilities and family support. In the construction of the project, creation of the Inclusion Center, the qualitative methodology was used, applying the semi-structured interview through telephone contact, having resorted to content analysis in order to elaborate the analysis and discussion of the results. Based on the results achieved through the interviews, it is clear that inequalities, exclusion, social discrimination, lack of information, training and an adapted, personalized space are the biggest challenges faced by people with disabilities. In this context, the Inclusion Centre represents a social response to people with special needs, essentially, children and young people with intellectual disabilities.
