Abstract(s)
Esta dissertação tem como objetivo projetar uma habitação unifamiliar, promovendo a
construção sustentável e relacionando-a com as alterações climáticas e,
consequentemente os eventos extremos.
Atualmente, o mundo encontra-se em constante desenvolvimento, culminando no
agravamento de várias vertentes ambientais, como o aquecimento global que é uma das
questões mais discutidas nos últimos tempos. Neste ponto, a arquitetura poderá ter um
papel crucial na redução de emissões prejudiciais ao ambiente, dado que as habitações
contribuem em cerca de 30 % das mesmas.
Esta dissertação fará uma ponte entre a questão das alterações climáticas, as suas
consequências e o impacto que a arquitetura poderá trazer para as mesmas. A habitação
aqui projetada estará implantada num local de entrada para uma zona de património
natural em Salreu. Uma zona, por si, bastante húmida com diversa biodiversidade e com
forte tendência a cheias. Deste modo, considera-se o local apropriado à temática
apresentada na dissertação. Quer seja ao nível da sustentabilidade quer seja ao nível das
alterações climáticas e, consequentemente dos eventos extremos, tem-se como objetivo
manter a contagem de emissões o mais próxima de zero possível.
Contudo, existirá uma preocupação acrescida relativamente à durabilidade da habitação,
utilização de materiais locais, poucas mudanças no terreno e também com atenção às
eventuais cheias naquele local.
Em resumo, pretende-se com esta dissertação, projetar uma solução para uma habitação
que se adapte totalmente às alterações climáticas quer seja na minimização dos seus
impactos, quer seja na minimização da problemática em si, através da redução da pegada
ambiental da habitação.
This dissertation aims to project a single-family house, promoting sustainable construction while relating into climate change, hence natural hazards. The world is going through constant development climaxing into the worsening of several natural aspects being Climate Change one of the most discussed and threatening aspects of them all. Housing contributes to around 30 % of all the malicious emissions to the environment, architecture might have a big role decreasing this number. This dissertation will bridge all the issues of climate change and its consequences like natural hazards and its consequences to Architecture and single-family housing. This house will be implemented in the entrance of a Natural Patrimony zone in Salreu, this zone is heavily humid, with a lot of biodiversity and with a strong tendency to flooding. That being said, this zone is related to the root with this dissertation given that it’s heavily related to sustainability and to climate change and its natural hazards, flooding in this case. Using a methodology that aims at bibliographic research and analysis of references, this project has the Carbone emissions as close to zero as possible. However, there will be an increased concern for the durability of the house, the use of local materials, fewer changes as possible in the terrain and also paying attention to possible floods in that location. In short, this dissertation aims to project a single-family house the adapts totally to climate change while minimizing its impacts and minimizing the problem itself through the reduction of the green footprint of the house.
