Neste trabalho, serão discutidas as parcerias das marcas de luxo com os videojogos
para a criação de skins exclusivas, elevando o mercado a um nível de exclusividade e
prestígio social, tanto dentro como fora do jogo. Para abordar este tema, será,
inicialmente, discutida a sociedade de consumo e como este se tornou uma necessidade
relevante na nossa sociedade. Essa discussão será baseada nos pensamentos de
Zygmunt Bauman (1925-2017). Em seguida, será apresentado o contexto histórico dos
videojogos e como eles evoluíram graficamente ao longo dos anos, culminando nas
skins que temos hoje. Além disso, será discutido o papel do designer de moda nesse
mercado e a importância de ocuparem essas posições, uma vez que como designers de
moda possuem conhecimentos de modelagem 2D e 3D, competências essenciais e
diferenciadoras no desenvolvimento de uma skin. Ao longo da discussão, também será
abordada, sucintamente, a indústria 4.0, explorando a moda no metaverso e as NFTs.
Por fim, conclui-se sobre a necessidade dos designers de moda dominarem as novas
tecnologias digitais e sobre as novas oportunidades que existem no mercado de moda
virtual.
In this work, the partnerships between luxury brands and video games for the creation of exclusive skins will be discussed, elevating the market to a level of exclusivity and social prestige, both within and outside the game. To address this topic, the consumer society will be initially discussed and how it has become a relevant necessity in our society. This discussion will be based on the thoughts of Zygmunt Bauman (1925-2017). Next, the historical context of video games and how they have evolved graphically over the years, culminating in the skins we have today, will be presented. Furthermore, the role of fashion designers in this market and the importance of occupying these positions will be discussed, as fashion designers possess essential and distinctive knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling in the development of a skin. Throughout the discussion, there will also be a brief exploration of Industry 4.0, delving into fashion in the metaverse and NFTs. Finally, it concludes on the need for fashion designers to master new digital technologies and on the new opportunities that exist in the virtual fashion market.
