No Ăąmbito do Mestrado em Psicologia ClĂnica e da SaĂșde da Universidade da Beira Interior no ano letivo de 2011/2012, foi elaborado esta dissertação que tem como principal objetivo perceber se a forma como os jovens LGB percecionam o processo do coming out e se o apoio da sua rede de suporte em relação a este tĂȘm alguma influĂȘncia nos seus nĂveis de qualidade de vida e prevalĂȘncia de comportamentos de risco.ÂŽ
Com este intuito foi realizada uma revisĂŁo da literatura e realizado um estudo empĂrico, no qual participaram 104 sujeitos com idades entre os 16 e os 30 anos, em que a sua orientação sexual se divide entre gay, lĂ©sbica e bissexual. Para a recolha dos dados foi utilizado um QuestionĂĄrio SĂłciodemogrĂĄfico, o QuestionĂĄrio da Qualidade de Vida aferido para a população portuguesa (WHOQOL_Bref) e o Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS). Os participantes foram contactados via internet atravĂ©s da associação de apoio a jovens LGBT, Rede Exaequo. Esta dissertação foi redigida de acordo com o novo Acordo OrtogrĂĄfico PortuguĂȘs.
Within the Master in Clinical Psychology and Health at the University of Beira Interior in the academic year of 2011/2012, was drafted this dissertation whose main objetive is to realize how young LGB perceive the process of coming out and the support of their families and friends regarding this have any influence on their levels of quality of life and prevalence of risk behaviors. ' With this aim we conducted a literature review and conducted an empirical study in which participated 104 subjects aged between 16 and 30 years, where their sexual orientation is divided among gay, lesbian and bisexual. To collect the data we used a sociodemographic questionnaire, the Quality of Life Questionnaire measured for the Portuguese population (WHOQOL_Bref) and the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS). Participants were contacted online through an association LGBT youth support, Rede Exaequo. This essay was written in accordance with the new Portuguese Spelling Agreement.
