Abstract(s)
A presente dissertação reflete sobre as boas práticas de intervenção na reabilitação de
um edifício, abordando conceitos que são importantes relativamente ao risco de cheias.
O edifício aqui projetado está implantado num local abrangido por um braço da Ria de
Aveiro, na cidade de Ovar. A ria funciona como uma confluência das terras que a limitam.
A região envolvente possui uma identidade e especificidade geográfica que, de certo
modo e até há pouco tempo, condicionavam o modo de viver e as atividades das
populações circunvizinhas.
Porém, há um cuidado relativo ao risco de cheias e a áreas de inundação, sendo estas
ocorrências naturais e com interferência crescente na atividade humana, que devido a
planeamentos desadequados à realidade onde se insere, a adaptação dos humanos torna
vulnerável aos padrões locais de cheias.
A dimensão, as mudanças de ocupação e uso do solo nas bacias hidrográficas,
proporcionam a ocorrência de cheias nos espaços ribeirinhos onde se localizam
normalmente os principais centros urbanos regionais e locais.
Em suma, pretende-se com esta dissertação, projetar uma solução adaptável na
preservação do património, trazendo toda a história da região e as suas atividades para
um melhor funcionamento, de modo a não gerar uma invasão no seu ambiente natural,
e potenciando uma melhor qualidade de vida às populações locais.
This dissertation reflects on the good intervention practices in the rehabilitation of a building, addressing concepts that are important in relation to the risk of flooding. The building designed here is implanted in a location covered by an arm of the Ria de Aveiro in the city of Ovar. The estuary works as a confluence of the lands that limit it. The surrounding region has an identity and geographic specificity that, in a way and until recently, conditioned the way of life and activities of the surrounding populations. However, there is a concern regarding the risk of flooding areas, these being natural occurrences and with increasing interference in human activity, which due to inadequate planning to the reality in which they operate, human adaptation makes local flood patterns vulnerable. The dimension, the changes in land use and occupation in the hydrographic basins, provide for the occurrence of floods in the riverside spaces where the main regional and local urban centers are normally located. In short, the aim of this dissertation is to design an adaptable solution in the preservation of heritage, bringing the entire history of the region and its activities to a better functioning, so as not to generate an invasion of its natural environment, and fostering a better quality of life for local populations.
