This chapter explores how media consumption by the Portuguese influences their perception of (mis)information, including the awareness of self-protective messages. Starting with an overview of the COVID-19 pandemic in Portugal, the authors reflect upon the theoretical-practical implications of the data obtained during the second wave of the disease in Portugal.
