Abstract(s)
O relatório agora apresentado, elaborado no contexto do Mestrado em Ensino de Artes Visuais
no 3º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Ensino Secundário, refere-se num primeiro momento, à
investigação teórica sobre o tema da Educação pela Arquitectura e, num segundo momento, à
prática de ensino supervisionada. Esta última realizada no ano lectivo de 2013/2014, na
Escola Secundária Campos Melo, na disciplina de Desenho A do Curso Científico-humanístico
de Artes Visuais, e na disciplina de Educação Visual, integra ainda as actividades de serviço
educativo Laboratório Urbano Pela Arte - LUPA, levadas a cabo na cidade de Castelo Branco e
que se relacionam com o tema de investigação.
A hipótese que formulamos é: se a Arquitectura articula campos epistemológicos
aparentemente divergentes, talvez se possa constituir enquanto veículo, enquanto estrutura e
enquanto campo de exploração, no processo ontológico de construção de sentido sobre o
real. Poderia a arquitectura, enquanto arte, assumir o papel educativo que agora lhe
incumbimos, da construção material do real, para a construção integral do eu?
Este relatório estrutura-se em quatro partes, nomeadamente: Conceitos, Tese, Práxis e
Síntese. Na parte II - Tese, fazemos o enquadramento histórico, através de análises diacrónica
e sincrónica. Em seguida, centramo-nos na relação entre experiência e educação e na
definição dos princípios que definem uma experiência enquanto educativa. Aferimos a
especificidade da experiência estética e o seu carácter educativo. E descrevemos a
experiência em Arquitectura e a sua especificidade enquanto experiência estética e
educativa. Em seguida, procuramos convergências entre os valores da educação
contemporânea e a educação pela arquitectura. E sistematizamos e definimos os fundamentos
da práxis de arquitectura. Na parte III - práxis, apresentamos projectos exploratórios de
Educação pela Arquitectura, e iniciamos a reflexão crítica da nossa práxis. Por último, na
parte IV sintetizamos o que aprendemos e identificamos questões por resolver.
The submitted report, constructed in the context of the Mestrado em Ensino de Artes Visuais no 3º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Ensino Secundário, refers to the theoretical research on the topic of Education through Architecture and to the supervised teaching practice, held in the academic year 2013/2014, in the Escola Secundária Campos Melo, in the subject of Desenho A of the Curso Científico-humanístico de Artes Visuais and in the subject of Educação Visual, as well as to the activities of educational service Laboratório Urbano Pela Arte - LUPA, carried out in the city of Castelo Branco and that relate with the research topic. The hypothesis that is stated is: if architecture articulates seemingly divergent epistemological fields, perhaps it could constitute a vehicle, a structure and a field of exploitation, in the ontological process of construction of meaning on the real. Could architecture as art, assume the educational role that we now entrust it, from the material construction of the real to the integral construction of the self? This report is structured into four parts, namely: Concepts, Thesis, Praxis and Synthesis. In Part II - Thesis, we make the historical framework through diachronic and synchronic analyzes. Then, we focus on the relationship between experience and education and in establishing the principles that define an educational experience. We assess the specificity of aesthetic experience and its educational character. And describe the experience in architecture and its specificity as an aesthetic and educational experience. Then we seek convergences between the values of contemporary education and education through architecture. And systematize and define the fundamentals of architectural praxis. In Part III - praxis, we present exploratory projects of education through architecture, and began the critical reflection of our praxis. Finally, in Part IV we synthesize what we have learned and identify unresolved issues.
