Abstract(s)
A investigação tem como objetivo perceber como se faz o atendimento aos alunos com necessidades educativas especiais e apurar a qualidade do serviço prestado. Importa apurar se o serviço prestado promove uma verdadeira inclusão ou se as práticas escolares levam exclusão dos alunos. Emerge, assim, a questão geral que orienta a investigação: serão os modelos de atendimento em educação especial promotores de inclusão? É necessário, então, perceber a organização, o planeamento, as práticas e a avaliação dos processos no âmbito da educação especial para aferir da qualidade do serviço prestado. Para responder à questão será adotado um estudo de caso de natureza qualitativa, com recurso a entrevistas e análise documental, estudando cinco alunos com currículo específico individual que são atendidos num mesmo agrupamento de escolas. Com base neste estudo pretende-se contribuir para a construção de um dispositivo que possa aferir a qualidade do serviço prestado no âmbito da educação especial.

It is important to ascertain whether the service provided promotes true inclusion or whether school practices lead to exclusion of students. Therefore, the general question that guides the research is: how are models of care in special education promoting inclusion? It is then necessary to understand the organization, planning, practices and evaluation of processes in the field of special education to gauge the quality of the service provided. To answer the posed question a case study of qualitative nature will be adopted, using interviews and document analysis, and focusing on five students with individual specific curriculum that are attended in a same school cluster. Based on this study we intend to contribute to the construction of a device that can measure the quality of the service provided in the field of special education.
