Abstract(s)
Este estudo de investigação intitulado “Valores de vida, Resiliência e Coping em reclusos e não reclusos”, de caráter exploratório e de natureza transversal teve como principal objetivo de investigação verificar se existiam diferenças entre duas amostras populacionais, “Reclusos” e “Não reclusos”, ao nível das dimensões Valores de vida, Resiliência e Coping e, igualmente relacionar as diferentes dimensões, com as variáveis sociodemográficas aplicadas no decurso da investigação. Para tal utilizou-se uma amostra total de 96 elementos (46 “reclusos” e 50 “não reclusos”) e analisamo-los com recurso a uma bateria de testes (Questionário sociodemográfico, Inventário de Valores de Vida, Escala Toulousiana de Coping e Escala Breve de Coping Resiliente), onde conseguimos elucidar algumas diferenças para ambas as amostras relativamente ao Coping e aos Valores de vida, o mesmo não se sucedendo com a dimensão da Resiliência. Há diferenças estatisticamente significativas para os Valores de Vida comparativamente à natureza do sujeito, à idade dos indivíduos e em função do nível de habilitações literárias. No que concerne ao Coping verificamos diferenças ao nível da natureza do sujeito, da idade, do gênero e do nível de ensino. Esta Dissertação foi redigida ao abrigo do nosso Acordo Ortográfico.
This research study entitled "Life Values, Resilience and Coping amongst prisoners and non-prisoners.”, an exploratory work and cross-cutting in nature, main aim was to investigate if there were differences between the two population samples, "Prisoners" and "Non-Prisoners" in terms of life values, resilience and coping. Also, to relate the above mentioned with the designated socio-demographic variables applied during the investigation. In order to do so, a total of 96 elements (46 "inmates" and 50 "no prisoners") were used as a sample and subsequently applied to a series of tests (a socio-demographic questionnaire, an Inventory of life values, the Toulousiana Coping Scale and the Brief Coping Resilient Scale). Results showed some differences in both samples in terms of Coping and Life Values however the same did not happen in regards to Resilience. There were statistically significant differences in life values when compared to the nature of the subject, the age of the individuals and level of educational. In terms of Coping, there were differences in the nature of the subject, age, gender and level of education. This thesis was written according to the Portuguese Spelling Agreement.
